As you begin to back track Shifter joins you. The yard dogs begin to bark, their ears and tails are perked as they know someone is in the woods. Hearing the commotion causes the men inside to say,

"Shut up!"

The dogs keep barking though and are now sniffing around the woods, looking up at the trees and all around trying to determine if they should venture in.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Shifter changes his form to that of an eagle and navigates to the barn where he changes into his lion self. In no time at all the yard dogs are reacting to Shifter's cue with more barking but they are apprehensive by the lion's intimidating size, however when Shifter turns and runs they give chase.

Just after...

Krusten tries to look for something to pierce the tires, Felipe does the same. As Krusten looks around the van she can hear the front door of the house opening up. She ducks behind the van as she listens to a man's voice in a Southerner's accent,

"Stupid dogs, they must be chasin' those vermin again."

She can then hear the door slam shut. She looks around to see Felipe also hiding behind a worn out tractor covered with weeds.

Being a junk yard does not limit Krusten's access to metal objects and she soon finds one to puncture the tires.

Meanwhile...

Assassin finds himself frozen.

GM: Assassin roll D20 vs Soul. Say what you wish to do now.

Shifter in the form of a lion heads East away from the house leading the yard dogs in zealous fashion. He then turns hoping to put them to rest but they react in fear as do most yard dogs. Shifter manages to claw one to the ground but the other three start heading back to the house. He gives chase only slightly out running another one for a kill but the other two remain.

Meanwhile...

Now that the van's tires are on the way to being completely flat the other super heroes huddle together in some nearby woods.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Upon seeing no hope of catching up with the rest of the dogs Shifter alerts the others of his new form as an eagle. He then meets with them in the woods.

By this time, Krusten's danger sense is going wild... She can feel the aura of excitement emanating from within the home of the men. Just as she feels this she can see the men burst open the front door with shot guns while yelling at the dogs. One of the men, who was drinking a bottle of beer, throws his half filed brew towards one of the dogs in anger.

"Can't we get some quiet around here?"

Then they start frowning. Seeing two dogs missing and the way they run causes them to start looking around the yard.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Shifter in the form of an eagle flies back to the location he parked his car in order to retrieve it.

Meanwhile...

The men start to go towards the area where Shifter, in the form of a lion, killed their dogs. The men start cursing about it loudly and then beginning moving tactically around the yard for whatever caused their pet's demise. From listening to them you can hear they think it is a bear that might be hiding somewhere.

Krusten feels her danger sense warn her that that they will likely search your current position.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

While Shifter leaves to retrieve his car the rest of you head for the main road. While doing so you can hear one of the men shout,

"Hey, someone slashed our tires!"

The other guy says,

"What the heck! Let me see."

You then hear them say,

"Quick, we need to get the stash and get outta here!"

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Assassin remains to see what the men do while the others arrive at the main road far from the events of the house. Assassin sees the men run inside the house and oddly does not hear anything after that as he witnesses the remaining yard dogs also disappear.

Meanwhile...

Shifter is still on his way to his car.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Assassin goes quietly around the house and to his great surprise he sees the men getting into a red old model pickup with their dogs strapped to the back. They look like they will be making an escape through another path.

In the mean time...

Shifter has just arrived near the location of his vehicle and is looking for a place to change back to human form in secret.
