Most people within the Western Hemisphere agree that the USA is the #1 First World Nation both economically and militarily. Were the US to fall economically then it would have a major impact on the World economy. Most trading is done based on the US dollar. The question is... do you think there is another country stronger than the US economically even if not militarily?

I think the we would be kidding ourselves if we didnt take Russia seriously from a military perspective. I would say that the US is a very strong country and affects the world with its decision, but I wouldnt be as bold to say that they are #1.

In comparison with other countries and their acknowledged weapons and sway I would say the US is #1, but there are other countries with serious military arsnels like Malexander stated... Russia is one of them, who knows what they have in those mountains.
