We can either head back to town or let him show us the way to his leader. What do you guys think? We could also orchestrate a rumor that two men single handedly killed all the bandits to put fear into other bandits because they do not know about the others that joined in with Durgan and Zork yet.
"I prefer if he showed us the way. He's not a threat anymore, without his weapons and armor. As for the rumor, remember we wanted to lure them to us. I think that striking fear into them is the last thing we want. It seems that our cover worked; the bandit didn't recognize us and the half-orc thought we were merchants."
Durgan nods at Gell bringing the loot, saying, "I have no qualms with letting you come with us. You certainly proved your skills in battle, both causing wounds and healing them.
"Say, I don't recognize the icon on your shield, a patron of yours?"
Zork looks at those who were under the blanket and laughs, "Maybe we can go to the leaders hangout using this same method... Anyone wants blanket time again?"
When Gell realises that the beautiful elf-girl came looking for him, he asks her name and thanks her enthusiastically for her help. The dreadlocked half-orc gives Emily the prettiest bows and arrows to carry. There is a stupid smile on his face and a spring in his step as they return to camp, but he flushes brown at little Morg Thal's under the blanket comment. Avoiding looking at Emily, Gell turns to the one they call Durgan and answers his question: "The forces of nature can be cruel and uncaring. But they can also inspire great beauty and devotion - the flower on the battlefield, the mother defending her young."
He unshoulders his shield and uses some absorbent moss to clean the blood spots from the Unicorn emblem. "It is this second aspect of nature that Elhonna represents. I am her devoted servant, sworn to protect the weak with the courage of the mother and to bring beauty and hope where there is none - though with my features, bringing beauty or hope is often a challenge!"
And you? You carry the symbol of Trithereon? I know that we once welcomed visitors to the Grove who bore the three-armed fylfot and old Jeneleth respected them. My old master probably explained the aspects of your God, but my brain has never been very good at remembering facts. What is Trithereon and why do you follow him?
"And they call you Morg Thal?" He says, turning to the little companion who was raging like a half-orc so recently. "You say you've slept on the streets most of your life - I have often slept on an oak branch under the stars but they tell me it takes a special skill to find a place in the cities of men. Well met!"
"And you're Emily," He says with a smile before coming to the last of his companions:
"And the brave horseman is Zorc - sorry Zork - my clumsy tongue often mispronounces words. Excuse me but I think you were wrong not to let Emily question our prisoner - she only asked me one simple question in the trees and I found myself telling her half my life story!
...Zork?" He repeates to himself, " I have heard your name before, though I have met few humans. Why is that? Have you made a name among the elves? Do the druids speak of you? What is your story?"
Zork looks at the half-orc with one eye brow raised, having only just come he has everything figured out already? Poor old oaf, Zork did not want to give him a reality check so he shakes his head as though he agrees with what he is saying.
How can we be certain the bandit will not lead us into a trap? Emily watches the interaction between the horseman and the strange Ork man. She wonders how well these two are going to work togeather.
Out of Character: Ibdman are you saying that to Zork, I'm not sure? Remember the bandits friends think they are out to raid folks so they won't be expecting us but we will have to fight.
