Waco, Texas has such a bad reputation for fires and death. You add that with the Boston explosions and now here with mass casualties... What's going on?

I was wondering the same thing. More than 15 people are reported dead so far. This is very sad, I don't know what is going on but the timing is just crazy.

The explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant has killed between five and 15 people, according to Sgt. William Patrick Swanton of the nearby Waco Police Department.
The massive blast has forced the evacuation of about half of the small town of West.
The Wednesday night blast shook houses 50 miles away and measured as a 2.1-magnitude seismic event, according to the United States Geological Survey. Ref. CNN
Twelve bodies have been recovered in West, Texas, after a fire and explosion at a fertilizer plant, said Texas police Sgt. Jason Reyes
The fire and blast Wednesday badly damaged a five-block area. Reyes said 200 people have been injured and 50 homes have been destroyed.
"This is still being treated as a crime scene," he said. Ref. CNN
Most fertilizer plants have all the right chemicals to make an explosion by default. It could have just been a careless employee sat chemical A next to chemical B and they reacted together. The whole thing could have been nothing more then an extremely/deadly accident. I only mention this because I see a lot of comments in places like Yahoo and the likes that are calling it a terror attack with no information. So I try to mention this possibility whenever possible
This company was also fined $5000 last year for not having an emergency response plan in place if I read things correctly. Which means they had no emergency plan and most if not all of the employees where probably not trained correctly in ensuring reactive chemicals stayed apart.
I see a big smoke in the pictures of this accident or terror attack. It looks like a small nuclear bomb's explosion. People take this as terror attack because maybe they think on the Boston attack. Is strange that they happen so close together.

The truth is that this company had last year been storing 1,350 times the amount of ammonium nitrate that would normally trigger safety oversight by the DHS and they did not tell the agency about it as they are supposed to do. Some people are going to jail!
