Election Campaign Financing In Trindad & Tobago

In the US there are many laws about how political parties are financed for election campaigns. This prevents unusual amounts of money being received without knowing who is doing and how the funds are being used. This prevents people from essentially 'buying' a government. We need more stringent laws like that hereto prevent one politician from gaining the upper hand over the other simply because he is getting more money for his election campaign.
