As I was reviewing this Topic I was trying to think of Religions that are very intolerant of interfaith marriages and one of these is Islam or I should say - certain sects within Islam or certain Muslim communities. We can see evidence of this in many of the countries where women or men who marry outside the belief system are often persecuted.

I don't understand this comment but perhaps it's because of my limited spiritual progress. |
Offtopic but, Let me explain better without going into LDS Doctrine as this is a General Religious Board. Example: The LDS Church believes in marriage for eternity which must be performed in the temple. To enter the temple a man must have the priesthood. Therefore, if you marry a man who has no priesthood then you cannot enter the temple to receive this ordinance. In this way you limit yourself for the eternities. If you still wish for further explantation feel free to start a new Thread in the LDS Deep Doctrine Board. |
