Rather off topic, but...
*A cold chill runs down, you, the Game Masters spine as yet another [New person] with delusions of grandeur and aspirations of unattainable greatness dares to stand before your magnificence. A blatant sneer of contempt and over confidence crosses his face as he opens his dirt hide backpack and begins tossing relics of ages past to the foot of your throne.*
"These..." shouts the noob, "These are trophies of my previous conquests!"
You stare down from your loft seat of high station at the plaques gathering at your feet.
Amongst them you see the familiar tomes 1st edition Dungeons & Dragons, Star Frontiers, Top Secret, Car Wars, 2nd 3rd and 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons, FASA Trek, Starwars, Serenity, Basic Role playing, Dark Sun, Alternate, Gamma World...and still the [New person] continues to remove tome after tome from his worn pack. Rolemaster, MERP, CODA...
"ENOUGH!" proclaims you, the Dungeon Master, with a roar as soft as thunder. "Why come you hither, if more than to litter my throne room with relics of days gone by?"
Cowering from the verbal lashing the [New person] responds meekly "T-t-to find favor in thy sight, Master of a thousand dungeons. To be accepted into thy arms and welcomed into adventures thou hast yet prepared. Will thou haveth me not?"
*You, the Dungeon Master furrows your brow in quiet contemplation. At last a decision is made and your icy glare humbled the [New person] further as he awaits your ruling *

Okay. That was fun.
I'm an old school player (mostly Dungeon Mastering/GMing) of the above mentioned game systems. Since 1970s I've had my finger in dang near every pie. I also enjoy computer Role-playing Games and have played everything from Zork to my Favorite (so far) game, Neverwinter Nights2 for which I was a server Dungeon Master as well.
My group of table top players doesn't meet nearly enough to quench my RP appetite and I am hoping to do so here.
I'm mostly interested in 1st edition Dungeons & Dragons or Gamma World but...am open and at least moderately proficient in most other systems.

Hi tooleychris! That was quite the introduction. I put your little role-play in off topic tags because this thread is mainly about you and not for role-play gaming. Horde gave you the links to get started but were you planning to GM or be a player here?

Thanks. I was planning on playing, at least for a bit because I RARELY do anything but Dungeon Master. We'll see though how it progresses.
I started NWN2 to JUST play but ended up designing for the server then Dungeon Mastering as well...

Welcome to you. You'll have a long time before you'll be accepted as a Dungeon Master here at least til you have your own section to do it so you're better off starting as a player. The fastest ones are in the member wars board and by the way, this is a text Play By Post game nothing like a real time game just in case you mixed it up.

Sorry, but whatever you uploaded to the Galley did not come through but based on your description it would have been rejected anyway - the Gallery is for personal images of you, your kid(s), pet, etc. It is not meant to upload random images.
