The grand jury's indicted Ariel Castro, 52, the former school bus driver accused of holding three women captive in his Cleveland home for nearly a decade, on 329 charges. He faces one count of aggravated murder for allegedly terminating one of his captives' pregnancies, 139 counts of rape, 177 charges of kidnapping, seven counts of gross sexual imposition, three counts of felony assault and one count of possession of criminal tools. Imagine the nerve of this guy with all the evidence against him and the things he did all those years says he's not guilty. Just execute him rather than waste time having a trial.

Krusten has a point there: some people knows no shame! I would really like to see his face when he swears to the judges that he didn't do anything wrong. Not so smart either. This attitude will only cause people to go harder on him.

HE is pleading not guilty so he can get a trail to see if he can beat some of the charges laid against him. He does not want to plead guilty to all 300+ charges. If he can get some dismissed or dropped he can maybe see less time in prison. This is just a ploy that criminals use.
I still don't see the point. He has to answer to 300 different charges. If he got only one month of prison for each of them (which is being very optimistic) it would already be 24 years. But I guess the real total would amount to 4 or 5 times his expectation of life.
His only chance to not die in a cell is being deemed innocent which is impossible.

Everyone knows that he is guilty is is going to be very hard to make a convincing argument towards his innocents. That being said it is the right of every accused american to have a trial with a jury of his peers. To not allow him this basic right is wrong. I believe that he will get convicted and spend a long time in jail but we still have to let the wheels of justice turn.
