QUOTE
I do know I'm ready for the job. And, if not, that's just the way it goes.

Just like the way America is going now with an economy thrown on the pavement, well that is just the way it goes. He'll be going next! I was surprised when he was voted in a second time.

Bush's Last 100 Days the Ones to Watch
By Jesse Jackson

Bush and Vice President Cheney represent a failed conservative era -- and they know it. As the administration moves into its last 100 days, there seems to be a flurry of activity: regulations to forestall Obama's new era of accountability; a flood of contracts to reward friends and lock in commitments; a Wall Street bailout that is pumping money out the door.

And don't forget the pardons. Bush will get to pardon several people before he bails, and who do you think will be on the list? Not anyone in your circle of friends, I'm sure, but the high-flying "we can do no wrong" elitists.... that somehow still wound up in prison. This will be interesting, too.

Bush warns against big government

President George W. Bush came out this week and warned about government getting too involved in things and he also touted free market solutions. That would be great and everything---if Bush wasn't dabbling in the big government spending at the same time. It's amazing, politicians seem to know that most Americans want to hear a conservative message---they just don't actually believe that's what you want. Glenn reacts to the apparent love for socialism our politicians are trending towards.

Bush reflects on scope of years in White House

With rare public emotion, George W. Bush sat in judgment on his controversial, consequential presidency yesterday, lamenting mistakes but claiming few as his own, heatedly defending his record in Iraq and at home and offering kindly advice to a successor who won largely because the nation ached for something new.
