Hmmm... becareful on the net - don't the people get it? Just because you meet someone on an LDS site does not mean they are LDS or worthy of a temple recommend. The girl in this situation was crazy to go and meet someone for the first time without someone else with her.

I think a lot of the problem stems from the participant keeping it all a secret. It is almost like a dream where they want no one to tell them to 'wake-up'. So rather than reveal the 'secret' and loose the dream they just keep quiet and end up disappointed. Of course this is the opposite in LDS_forever and my case, but unlike this one, we told many people.

Exactly, if you're going to meet the person then obviously you have to do it in a public place and go with a friend, although I have read cases where the girl went with a friend and in a public place and once she felt comfortable, the friend left and the guy raped her...so...it seems like you need to trust your instincts and be aware all the time...
