Who do you think was the worst Tyrant of all time? Hitler? Cortez? Shaka?
This is a very difficult question to answer. I would say Adolf Hitler, he is the main responsible for the killing and extermination of 6 million souls. Is there anyone worst than him?.

Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot. All three were responsible for far more mass murders than Hitler.
Most estimates are that about 10,000,000 people died in the concentration camps under Hitler.
Over 20,000,000 were murdered by the regimes of Stalin and Pol Pot. I think the number approaches 50,000,000 for Mao Tse Tung.
It gets more interesting when you consider the populations that were destroyed by all of these tyrants.
Hitler mostly had "undesirables" destroyed. Jews, blacks, homosexuals, cripples, the mentally ill, gypsies, foreigners.
Stalin had the peasants destroyed. He nationalized the farms, and starved millions to death in order to finish the nationalization process.
Pol Pot just plain murdered everyone. Citizens, counterevolutionaries, Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc., etc., etc.
Mao Tse Tung - the list goes on and on.
So, who is the worst? They are all so bad, along with some others who murdered less, but caused as much misery, that I wouldn't even think of choosing one over the other.

I would consider Joseph Stalin one of the worst tyrants in history. Apart from killing millions of people, he also started the cold war. (I understand there is some dispute who exactly started the cold war, but this is my oppinion) Hitler, although he did not kill as many people as general Mao or Stalin, was the cause of great suffering and pain. While Stalin murdered, Hitler tortured and used his captives. I would also consider him an 'evil genius.' He was one of the smartest polititians in history, using the perfect timing and words to rally support. This is not to say I support hitler or his nazi party in any way.
