Chat Room - Page 2

The only problem I've seen with the chat is that it causes problems for people with dinosaur computers, like me. There was one night I kept trying to get in, but my computer wouldn't let me. So I tried when nobody else was in there, and my computer was fine. As long as I don't actually want to chat with anybody besides myself in the chat, I think I'm fine. I went in there once and Smudge came in, and it was still fine.

That's not the chat's fault though. **le sigh** I just need a new computer.

I've noticed, though, that there usually isn't anybody in the chat at those scheduled times anyways. Occasionally there will be a couple people.

Room Chat

Ambria thanks for the feedback. We want all included, including those with slower computers or connections, I think that might be due to the script recording 40 minutes of conversation so that when you enter it tries to find all of it. So what I did was set it to the last 10 minutes. See if that works for you. If not I will just turn it off completely.

I prefer 6- 7 pm, but for me it fits just fine because I'm three hours before the time in New York, so that works fine for me.

Chat Room Update

The Chat Room now works on a timer that will only allow users in between the hours of 9pm to 11pm EST. This means that you will not be able to get in before or after this time. In addition to this, Moderators have the option to turn off the Chat Room if they cannot monitor it or see a lot of spammers / unwanteds entering.

Regular members will not be able to use the private message system within the chat room, this is reserved for Mods and Upgraded Members.

Room Chat

If you would like to Chat with me, I am in the Chat Room at any time (scroll down). I have my own chat field and answer button separate from the Chat Room so we can correspond privately if you wish . The Architect feels this is a good move just incase you enter and no one is there you at least have someone to chat with for awhile.

Latina, please be gentle with me while I ask this stupid question. I just went to the chat room but could not find where I can chat with you. I see the message and it states to scroll down, but there isn't a scroll bar. Am I missing something?

The Architect has informed me that this problem was caused by code that affected Internet Explorer users, but it has now been rectified. Okay, shall we chat now?

I just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed using the chat room. I have had the opportunity to chat on various occasions with many different people. If anyone has not yet had a chance to try the chat room out I would highly recommend it.
