It's hard to argue with the successes of the Endangered Species Act, particularly when you look at how one of America's strongest symbols, the bald eagle, has come back from the brink of extinction 30 years ago.

Act Species Endangered

I can see where people who have invested in land where an endangered species is found can lose out on their investment. I would be for compensating those people if they provide safe haven for the species, either through cash incentives or other investment opportunities. While the true environmentalist will argue that the animal was there first and it is their natural right to be there, we also have to realize that people sometimes unintentionally and unknowingly purchase such lands, and we can't expect them to give up all that investment for nothing.
