Peace On Earth And Goodwill To Man In A War
WWI began with high hopes of victory, then devolved into one of the bloodiest conflicts of the 20th century. But on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1914 something strange happened, the shooting stopped. The two sides met in "No Man's Land" establishing an informal cease fire between the combatants for the holiday.
It's good that something like this can happen even in a time of war.
