Prophet Resigns

The current Prophet of the reorganized church, now called the Community of Christ has resigned. Not sure if he was forced out, or went voluntarily.

Thanks for the information Gaucho, now what is interesting is that he also asked to be released of his Priesthood office because he is going through some personal 'issues' and the Quorum have accepted it which could mean that what made him to take this decision has to do with his personal worthiness.

It does appear like there may have been some type of transgression, but the're not saying. Without specific details, all kinds of rumors will spread. Could you imagine if Pres. Hinckley announced his resignation? Here is an article from the Salt lake Tribune.

I'm sure the news will devastate a lot of people, mainly because they do not know the reasons for it plus as the article states, people had a lot of hope on him because they thought he would bring their Church forward.
