In my household, we consume Kettlecorn popcorn!
There is nothing like it!
We can each eat a whole bag by ourselves!
Especially if I am watching CSI, I will devour an entire bag by myself and forget to share!

There are two ways I make my popcorn when I make it at home:

1. Melt butter and mix it with parmesian cheese

2. Melted butter and a little bit of Creole Seasoning

I get a lot of funny looks from people whenever I pour Creole Seasoning over my popcorn, but it gives it a bit of a sweet and spicy flavor. It's so wonderful.

Another fun thing to do is buy plain white popcorn, and then add cinnamon or something else sweet to it.

I really dislike the soft salted popcorn, and even some of the lightly buttered ones.
My preference would be the caramel popcorn, especially the crispy ones, I could eat loads of this when I watch a good film at the cinema.
A trip to the cinema somehow doesn't feel complete without a bucket of popcorn! laugh.gif

I was so torn in this one! I eat a ton of popcorn, and I need to cut back on it really. I love movie-popcorn, because it can make even a bad movie, a good experience! I am absolutely in love with Smartfood popcorn, so the cheesy is in. And, we have a craft fair up here where they make kettlecorn in a HUGE kettle and it comes out so perfectly crisp and sweet and salty. It's amazing. I'm drooling now!

My family loves popcorn. I bought a bowl for the microwave to pop it in, that way we control salt and sugar levels.

favorite ways:

Microwave - add butter mixed with a table spoon of vinigar

Stove top butter and honey melt then pop popcorn in it(works best with kettle corn)

It is pretty strange here in Taiwan when you go to the movies and buy popcorn. You get a choice of salt or sugar... Of course, the salt option is pretty normal. No surprises there. However, if you get the sugar (and I did once because they didn't understand what I said), it has a very strange taste. It is actually just a hardened liquid sugar coating (clear). It taste just like eating popcorn and raw sugar. I have had carmel popcorn and realize that it is basically sugar, but the taste difference between these two options is HUGE!

Light butter and salt, although no butter is no loss for me. I cannot understand anyone that would want heavy butter or extra butter - that is sickly!

I enjoy eating popcorn plain only when I am at the movies. At home, I prefer my popcorn with a little butter or salt. However, I discovered this new type of popcorn that Hilo Supermarket sells...I believe the brand name is POPPYCOCK! It is popcorn smothered with caramel and pecan nuts! It tastes so good!
