Status profiling: Research suggests simply wearing a police uniform changes the way the brain processes information
Simply putting on a uniform, similar to one the police might wear, automatically affects how we perceive others, creating a bias towards those considered to be of a low social status, new research from a team of cognitive neuroscientists suggests Ref. Source 9q.
I think this research is completely wrong. IF a person is racist or bias towards a person or a group they do not get worse just because they put on a uniform similar to a police officer. They will still be the same racist or biased person they were.
I know when I put on a uniform I do not suddenly get racist or biased against others or groups. I think who ever did this research needs to find people who really are not biased or racist towards others or groups.
