U.S. President Barack Obama spoke at Nelson Mandela's memorial service today, drawing cheers from the crowd inside Johannesburg 's FNB stadium.
"To the people of South Africa -- people of every race and every walk of life -- the world thanks you for sharing Nelson Mandela with us," Obama said.

Thousands of mourners gathered to say goodbye to Nelson Mandela today at a funeral in his beloved boyhood village, Qunu, after 10 days of memorials and celebrations.
Mandela, 95, died on December 5 after a recurring lung infection and declining health.
The funeral service will be followed by a private burial attended by relatives, dignitaries and friends.
