Claudia Schiffer

I remember years ago that when you were talking about Modeling, the name of Claudia always came up, but not anymore. She continues being a top model but not *the* top model*.

Born on August 25, 1970, in Dusseldorf, Germany, Claudia is a supermodel of international recognition. Claudia was raised in Dusseldorf to a homemaker mom and lawyer dad. As a child growing up, Claudia did not wish to become a model, but rather an attorney and work in her father's successful law firm.

Claudia's modeling career started in 1987, when she was discovered in a German discotheque while still a student.

I'm still trying to figure out what made her *the* model. Yes she is well built and good looking as any model is supposed to be, but *the* top model? I often wonder what makes them reach such a climatic front - is it just luck or the publishers desire to choose whomever they want? She had some brief appearances on television and the big screen and I understand she had a relationship once with Shaq from the LA Lakers, but I do not know if it is true. other than that she is not someone you hear about anymore.
