Great buy for such unreliable characteristic! Just a point here before everyone rushes off to buy rescue dogs. Not merely by canine handling experience and personal study of canines of various sub species but with scientific evidence, "Rescue dogs"(more known to me as "Council pound dogs") are not reliable nor are they usually "Loyal". This is because there loyalty belongs to the previous owner. However there are many variable factors such as caring environment and social attention attributes that go to making a dog loyal e.g. If there is any significant improvement in conditions in the second home and if the animal was started in life stably and happy.
The previous owner has probably at least done well for the this dog here but in general they are not that loyal they would ever lift a tooth to such a problem except territorially or under threat of themselves.
