[medieval] Cleaning The Land - Page 7

The Game Master says...

Being as tired and cranky as all of you are at present you all decide to go to sleep in and around the wagon in open fashion.

Sweet dreams and loud snores engulfed the trees and plains near the borders of 'Death's Mouth'...

Suddenly there is a nudge at your clothes and you roll to one side, then a nudge again and you put your hand in front your face and squint at the rays of the sun... everything begins to come into focus as you see your camp surrounded by men in black cloaks.

GM: Say what you will do now. 8am.

Land Cleaning medieval

The Game Master says...

Nobody moves and you seem to be paralyzed. You look around to see that there are about eight bandits around the camp and your weapons are no where to be found. There are men aimed with crossbows right at you so that if you twitched you would surely be the target. The one who seems to be leader says in a dark voice,

"Why be ye here? What business hast thou?"

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Kron speaks up with a tale from off the top of his head in such a stuttering manner because of his low soul that not even a child entering puberty would fall for it... He tells the leader that his friends and him heard of gold within the area and decided to see if they could land on some fortune.

The man is motionless and emotionless concerning the tale as Kron continues...

However, we ran into a pack of wolves instead, and from lack of sleep and being attacked, we now found ourselves in this predicament. Kron explains that they mean them no harm and only wish to return home to the village.

Immediately following Kron's story the man says in a deep slow voice,

"You lie..."

He then holds up the ring that Kiana carried and says,

"How did ye get this?"

GM: Say what you will do now keeping in mind you do not have your weapons

The Game Master says...

Ice suddenly blurts out...

"We are not lying. Kron is acting like that because he is afraid. And, why shouldn't he be. You sneak up on us, take our weapons away. What should we think? That you just want to join us for coffee?"

The leader is unamused at the sarcasm, but the rest of his men chuckle...

Ice continues...

"We saw a dead body and wondered how it had happened to be there. Then being that we are in search of gold, we figured to see if there was anything on this body to make us richer since the poor soul was not going to be needing any of it."

He moves back and says aloud as though speaking to his men...

"Take there things and let them be."

He then looks at Ice and says,

"Today is not the day of gold. Return from whence thou came and come here no more, for next time it will be thy doom."

He then instructs all of you to stand and take off all your armor. While his men are trained on your every move. As he watches... he then instructs that one of you is to remain behind, but since it is a nice day he will allow you to choose which.

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Ice speaks up,

"One of us must remain behind? For what purpose?"

With a flash of his sword the tip of which rests just at the base of the neck of Ice just enough for her to feel discomfort, but not to bleed. the leader then says,

"It is not for you to question me..."

His voice then gets louder sensing the probability of you trying to fight,

"Quick, be off with thy armor before I leave thee here for dead. I will not ask again."

GM: Say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Kiana replies,

"I will stay with you. I think you will find that you might not want to rid yourself of me so quickly."

The Leader nods while the rest of the men eye their catch in the beautiful physique of Kiana. The leader instructs his men to bind Kiana which they do while the rest of you have only the cloth covering that shields your skin from the armor you once wore.

The men in dark cloaks mount their horses and the Leader comes over to where Kiana is mounted and touches her on the chin with his right hand as though he were admiring her beauty, Kiana bows her head and turns to avoid the approach. The Leader then signals his men and all of your belongs and Kiana are taken away towards the South. You are left stranded there with nothing but your flimsy cloth covering.

GM: You do not know what happens to Kiana from now on - User Kiana may no longer participate in this game. The rest of you must now decide what you want to do. it is 9am.

The Game Master says...

The day is clear and your path seemingly charted as you have nothing of which to help you clear the land and thus you make your way North back to the Village. It is still early in the day so you cover a lot of ground. You are hungry and quarrel a lot amongst yourselves. You find it difficult to concentrate, but their are a few streams you pass by that quench your thirst. As the sun falls you are weary and you are concerned about wolves. Being only a matter of miles from the Village makes you wonder if you should push through the night. About a half mile ahead and over a small hill you see some smoke from which you gather a camp fire is a brewing.

The Game Master says...

You approach the hill with much caution and find yourselves looking at a small group of six men that are dressed for battle. They are seated around a small camp fire and seem to be preparing to eat while at the same time discussing something of importance. Nearby you see that there are six horses well saddled.

GM: Say what you will do now.
