I believe this is the GM's way of telling us we are not posting in party order frequently enough. I have had this happen in other scenarios as well. If we don't post something soon, bad stuff will begin to happen.
IC:
Ice puts on her cloak, opens a ration of food, quickly eats it and then jumps up on the wagon. *grabbing the reigns she says* "come on we need to find a cave or something for shelter."
I agree, we must head to the woods. If we don't do so quickly our wagon is going to get stuck in the mud.
I have flint but it would probably be futile to start a fire now, with all the rain. What do we do, just wait it out under the trees? Do we venture deeper into the forests? Should we have Kiana update our map since this is our first big landmark other than the river we just came from?
I think updating the map is an excellent idea. However, make sure she does it under a cloak. She probably should have two of us hold her cloak over her head like a tent. That gives me another thought. We could take all of our cloaks tie them together. Use my 50' rope than to tie them to the surrounding trees as a tarp above us to keep us dry until the storm passes. We could pull the wagon under it, unhitch the horses and tie them up a little ways away from it. Get in the wagon, off the ground under the cloaks to stay dry.
What do you think?
Should we start a fire with my flint? Or should we rehitch the horses and continue? The ground will be very soft so our journey with the wagon will be slow and we could get stuck. I was thinking we could have two of us take a horse each and ride out a bit and scout the area so we have a better idea of which direction we want to go in, since it is much slower with a wagon.
