Malexander, I just wanted to tell you I thought your post in party order was perfect. It allows us time to continue to discuss our options while at the same time allows the GM to move the story along if he wants. Great job as the leader.
Thanks tenaheff, sorry for not posting till now. I've been crazy busy at work this morning. Anyway, back to the scenario. It will all depend on what Ice has to tell the rest of the party, if anything, about her scouting. I think we stick with the plan as before. If there is better shelter nearby, I think it is early enough to try to get there for the night. If not, we wait and set out early morning and try to make up the time. As for the skeleton, I hesitate to try investigating tonight, and would opt for waiting in the morning when we pass it by. If we move off tonight because there is better shelter nearby, we can certainly stop. That is just me being very, if not too cautious, but I know others are itching for some action, which I think we will have plenty off down the road.

While a 4 hour shift may be customary for guarding, I don't believe it is necessary. We dont' need to sleep more than 8 hours. By each taking two hours we will all be able to get 6 hours sleep. If we do 4 hour shifts, then we are requiring two people to only get 4 hours sleep, while 2 get a full 8. That isn't fair. Also, when I say guarding, I just mean stay awake and alert to be sure no one sneaks up on us while we are sleeping. I don't think we need to actually patrol or anything, which is also why I don't think we need to put anyone on formal guard before we bed down for the night. Since I am a morning person, I volunteer to take the last shift which means getting up earliest for the day.
