Kiana is right, we already have an order for staying awake when in camp. It is Kron, Maicman, Mud, Kiana. We will add Ice to the end of this list. I think it is safe to go to bed at 8pm, stay awake for 2 hour shifts and awake at 4am, eat breakfast and be on our way. The last time stamp given to us by the GM was 4pm, so that gives us four hours to burn before we go to sleep. Should we investigate the skeleton in the meantime, or just stay around the fire until 8?
If we investigate the body now, we either have to split up again or leave the wagon unattended. I think it would be best to wait until morning. However, the other option is, give me an hour to rest and warm up then we can all leave to investigate, but we would need to take everything with us. I don't think it is wise to investigate this body without all of us because there is strength in numbers in case of an attack.
OK, I agree. I was also incorrect earlier, the time was 5 and not 4pm. So, I will post we will camp here tonight. We keep our canopy up because there is still a possibility for rain. We feed the horse each a ration of oats, and we go through shifts staying awake using the order I posted earlier with Ice at the last shift, in 2 hour intervals, starting at 8pm. We rise at 4, and leave as soon as is possible, to make up some time. Agreed?
Yes, you are correct. My math skills have taken a sharp nose dive today. Does the rest of what I plan to post sound ok?
I am curios by nature so I say that we should split in half. 2 of us should stay with the wagon and 3 check the dead body. That operation should not take more then 1 hour and the distance is not that big so is something happened we can gather very fast.
300 feet is very minimal a distance. I say we check out the body. It really should only take a few minutes. Maicman's plan is fine with me. However, I am not sure even more than one needs to stay with the wagon. If there is any trouble a shout should bring the others back very quickly. 300 feet is one football field in length. Of course it is wooded and not open land so that cold impede response and visability. Two with the wagon might be a good idea because I think that would be better to help fight off theft. If only one stays it is possible that the horses and wagon could be stolen before the group could return to offer assistance.
So, I agree, three to investigate the body, two with the wagon. I think the horses should stay with the wagon. If isn't a far distance to travel on foot and this way if we need to make a quick exit, all that has to happen is for the group to get back to the wagon and "run." I will be willing to do either task, stay with the wagon or go to investigate the body. Probably those with greatest mind should check out the body and surrounding area for any signs that indicate what happened and from what direction came the threat.
