The problem is we only have one oats bag and two horses. We would have to physically stop and allow the horses to feed, otherwise only one horse would be able to eat while walking.
Well in that case, I guess we had better stop. In case something happens and we need to make a run for it. We want the horses not to be slow.
Is it feasible to stop, feed the horses, then move off again for an hour so we get to that green patch in the horizon, and camp there? Or will feeding the horses take too long? I figure if we throw a ration of oats in the feedback, give it to one horse, then when he is done, throw another ration in the bag, give it to the other, that should suffice and not take too long. Right?
That is a much better plan. Let's be sure to feed the horse that is currently pulling the wagon first. Then the one trailing can eat.
I thought they were both pulling the wagon. In any case, I posted in party order, we will see what the GM has to say about it.
Tonight will definately be a long night, but from this point on, I don't suspect we should expect things to be any easier. A time check would be nice as well. As soon as we get settled in completely, I propose we begin night watch. Before that, it probably wouldn't hurt to check the surrounding area that's really close to us. Straying too far wouldn't be a good idea, but if there are any spots where a spy could easily hide would probably be a good place to check.
My memory was that we had one pulling while the other followed so that they wouldn't get tired. Maybe not, but that is what I thought we were doing.
