OK, so we have been given our mission, which seems straightforward enough, be it dangerous. First things first. Knight has given us a riding horse which we are to return. Who should take this horse and therefore be in the lead? Secondly, we will need someone to update the maps as we go along. I vote for Kiana as she is the only thief among us and we warriors are not known for our writing and reading skills. At least Maicman and myself found that out the hard way last mission. Thirdly, do we have any last questions before we set out? We are looking for open caves. Should we ask whether there are certain markings that the bandits use to identify which caves they are hiding out in possibly? Knight in the last mission seemed to know exactly which cave to go to. Was there a clue of some sort that the captured bandits told us about? That is the only question I can think of right now, but me be not too smart, remember?
O.K. I think we should ask if the plan is for us to go through Death's Mouth when we reach the mountains and will a wagon be able to make it through.
Since I am the only teamster, I probably should not take the horse in the lead, but drive the wagon.
I think we have a few possible plans of "attack." Have someone go on the horse ahead a ways and scout the area as we approach. However, this lone rider will be very vulnerable to attack.
We could also just have one person riding the horse along beside us, like they used to do often in days of old crossing the US with wagon trains.
Finally, we could tie the horse to the back of the wagon and just alternate horses pulling the wagon each day so that neither horse gets too tired.
One final thing to consider. I only have oats enough for one horse. Also, we are going for a week. Does everyone have enough food and water? Maybe we want to inquire if the area we will be traveling has a ready supply of berries and game that we could eat as well as streams for water?
Has everyone looked at the map under "World of Medieval?
I think the two horses should ride side by side, but the untied one will be the first to defend in a surprise attack, while the others prepare.
A good question would be if there is food and water there - I have those only for two days.
Asking about food and water will not only be helpful for us, but for the horses as well. Rivers or ponds so that they may also have something to drink.
I think it would be best to have the untied horse being ridden by somebody who has a high amount of protection as far as armor goes. That way, if an attack does take place, they have some form of protection. Also, with the horse being ridden, if we come across a place that seems "unfriendly" we will have somebody ready to run ahead and scout out the land ahead of us.
OK everyone, this is what I am going to post in party order:
First we will ask whether we are to travel through Death's Mouth and whether a wagon will be able to journey past that point
Secondly, Kron will ride the second horse alongside the wagon, and be the first to react if attacked. Also, Kron can ride ahead a bit if needed to scout out the area before the wagon ventures there.
Thirdly, we should ask if there is food or water around that area so we can gauge how much we will need to survive out there.
As for the oats for the second horse, Ice, since you are the only one with GP, would you be willing to purchase another 5 days ration which is 5GP? Let me know and I can post your decision as well.
Let me know your thoughts on this and I will post party order tonight. Thanks!
Do I have enough fp to purchase 9 more rather than 5? That would give us 7 days for each horse since we expect to be gone a week. If not, just buy what I have money left for. We should probably let the horses forage the grass for food, when it is available and only feed them the oats when they really need it.
