My Buddy - Page 3

Is there a way that if you are selected as a buddy that you will automatically be notified via PM or email, and of course also if you are removed? How would one even know if you where listed as someones buddy unless you checked on everyone? Other than that, allowing anyone to be a buddy is a better idea since the buddy is not necessarily someones specific mentor.

Konquererz, at present the Buddy feature is just a field of text with no notifications of any type. I agree that the only way you can know about being someone's mentor is to check their profile / stats (depending on which Skin you use), but at the same time if someone likes you to the extent that they wish to publish you as their buddy then I am sure you will notice your name highlighted at one time or the other during Forum visits .

Is there a choice to remove a friend? I haven't seen an option. I have some members who used to be my buddies but they are not active anymore and I would like to erase them.

LDS_forever, I think you are confusing this with 'My Friends!', this is talking about the drop down menu where you select a Mod to be a friend. There is usually this smiley associated with it:

Ooops, my bad. I don't know what I was thinking.

I use the Winter White skin and right along with the post I can see on the top the buddy option.

Update

As a follow-up to this the field is now devoid of selected names, so everyone will need to update their Profiles and enter whatever they wish. The maximum number of characters is '12' since a Member's name cannot be more than 12 characters anyway.
