Parkinson's Risk
LONDON, May 25 (Reuters) - Gardeners should wear protective clothing when using pesticides, say scientists who have concluded in a new study that the chemicals can increase the risk of Parkinson's disease.
Researchers at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland have discovered that the more pesticides gardeners are exposed to, the more likely they are to develop the degenerative brain disease.

It shouldn't not be a surprise that normal garden pesticides can cause terminal diseases. We have known for years that certain pesticides used by farmers cause serious problems and diseases and have thus been banned. One of these was DDT, which was stopped because of the complications, like death, that is caused in people. I am a fan of organic fruits and vegetables as it is, so if I had a garden, I would not be using any pesticides or special chemicals for growth anyway.
