The party continue on in the wagon, in the formation specified before, with weapons drawn until they are upon the body that the birds are circling around.
Since Malexander is absent, I am posting in his place.
Ice will use her bow and arrows to try and aim at one of the carrions. If she will succeed, the party will pick the bird for later use. If too many arrows go to the cause without any bird being killed, Ice will cease and the party will continue going Southwest.
Mud jumps out of the wagon, and picks up the bird. He removes the arrow and slits it's throat to drain it of blood. He then returns to the wagon, giving the arrow back to Ice and storing the bird in the wagon's corner out of the sun for dinner later with the snake. The party then continues on its way in the same positioning described earlier.
Realizing they are under attack, the party raises their arms in the air to show they are friendly. Kron says to the army surrounding them:
"We mean you no harm, great warriors! We are simple folks out on a hunting trip. Tell us if we can be of service to you. Otherwise, let us tend to our companion who has been struck down by one of your arrows."
Ice proclaims to the man who has questioned her:
"Well, it is true we be hunting and it be true we be hunting men, of a sort. The elders of our village asked us to come out in search of bandits that might mean to harm innocent citizens. That is what we have been doing. We have found no bandits, though we did come across one poor soul who had died in his travels."
Kron, Ice and Maicman lower their hands, and Maicman rushes over to the fallen Kiana. Ice then asks the man who questioned her earlier whether he has a healer in his midst to aid with Kiana.
In the meantime, Kron is suspicious of the activities of the groups of soldiers, and asks the man:
"Sir, may I inquire what your soldiers be doing? What are they looking for?"
