[party Order] Cleaning The Land - Page 6

Maicman tends to Kiana while Kron and Ice communicate with the army leader. Kiana tells Maicman of her healer's pouch in her small sack, which he obtains. He tears the bottom of her cloak to bind her wounds from the arrow which he removes. As a herbalist, he uses some of his skill to apply the contents of Kiana's healers pouch.
Ice turns towards the man who has been speaking with her and Kron and says:

"Well, it is obvious we have little to offer to improve upon your fine army's ability to find bandits in this area, perhaps we should head east in our quest?"

Kron eyes the man, waiting to hear what he has to say about this, but says nothing more to provoke him further.

Land Cleaning Order party

Ice takes the flask that the man had given to her, and hands it to Kiana to drink, which she does. The party then decide it is a good time to eat some food before heading out east. Mud is concerned about his last ration, so Ice loans him one of hers, which will be paid back once the mission is over. The party is concerned about Kiana's health and approach her to see if she is well enough to continue with them. If she is, they will get back into the wagon and head due east along the kingdom's boundaries, searching for caves.

Ice notices that the horses are very sluggish and slow and realize that they need food and water. The party looks around to see if there is any suitable area where the horses can be tethered and fed, and possibly the party can set up camp.

Page 6 Land Cleaning Order party

Since there is nothing but wasteland around, the party stops and feed the horses one at a time. First, they put a ration of oats in the feed bag, feed one horse, then when he has finished eating, do the same for the second. Once this is completed, they decide to move into the direction of the green patch in the distance, to set up camp for the night.

Land Cleaning Order party

The party decides this is the best place to camp for tonight, even though they are frustrated about not finding any caves and being shot at earlier in the day. They start a fire and decide to roast the snake and bird for dinner tonight. After eating, they look for branches that could be possibly whittled into spears. They plan to go to sleep at 8pm and take 2 hour shifts staying awake with weapons drawn, in the following order:

Kron 8-10
Maicman 10-12
Mud 12-2
Kiana 2-4
Ice 4-6

They are especially aware of the howls in the distance so everyone agrees to be extra alert.

Mud stays still, pretending to be dead. Maicman goes after the wolf with his sword. Meanwhile Kiana and Kron yell loudly and wave their arms and stomp their feet on the ground. Ice will meanwhile get her bow and aim her arrow carefully so if the wolf doesn't leave Mud or if it attacks someone else, she can shoot it. After the wolf will be killed, Ice responds in a very gruff manner toward Mud for falling asleep in his guard.

Ice moves in close to inspect Mud's wounds. "The good thing is the bleeding will help remove any germs that may have been in the wolf's mouth. Maicman, take your knife and cut the bottom off of Mud's cloak so we can use it as a bandage."

Meanwhile, Kron tends to the fire to bring it back to the life, so that if there are others they will be scared away.

Kiana applies some of her healing herbs to Mud's wound. In the meantime, Kron decides to light a few of the torches with his flint; 2 torches from Ice and 1 from Maicman. He holds one, Ice another and Maicman the third. Those 3 will stand watch for the rest of the night, while Kiana and Mud sleep, since they were both wounded recently and have very low souls. The 3 with torches use these to both see what is out there and keep what's out there away from the party, along with their weapons. Their hope is to make it through the night and assess the situation in the morning.
