[movie] The Grudge

My students at the school made a review in Spanish about this movie. They thought it was excellent, it is like a thriller/horror type. I don't think I personally wanna see it, not only because of the story line but because Sarah Michelle Gellar is acting

The Grudge is the curse of one who dies in the grip of a powerful rage. Those who encounter this murderous supernatural curse die and a new one is born, passed from victim to victim in an endless, growing chain of horror.

It only last 96 minutes! kind of short huh?

Welcome to the world of all those who are addicted to this forum. I went out and rented the movie because I cant stand to see a post with no replies.

This movie started out great. Very intense and very scary. I must have jumped and screamed like a little girl at least three times. I give it four stars on intensity and scariness.

I got to the end of the movie and was horrified! Why? Because the ending was nothing short of the absolute destruction of an otherwise great movie! The ending leaves you with more questions and very few answers. There is no true ending leaving you in limbo waiting for number two to come out.

As for the cinematography. If you have ever seen the ring, you will recognize the scene selections of this movie. The Grudge steals scene after scene from the ring so much that at times, I thought I was watching the Ring two.

If you have nothing else to rent and have a coupon for a free rental, the rent this movie. If not, don't bother, it is rather disappointing.
