2004 IN REVIEW: MOVIES
Yes, the movie year was predictable. Hey, I'm predictable. And as you might expect, several of my favorite movies from 2004 were either based on comic books or featured characters doing superhuman things.

Which movie in 2004 can be considered the BEST in your opinion and WHY?
Spider Man 2 was good, maybe my favorite. I didn't see Passions of the Christ but everyone who did, liked it. Some of my neighbors refused to even go see the movie because of the R rating, and automatically judged it as a bad movie because of the rating. We just saw National Treasure which was very good. I also liked Harry Potter 3 and The Village. Interestingly, the movie White Chicks was rated as the worst of the year. I saw it twice and liked it both times. The first time was on a plane and the second time we rented it as a family.
I really enjoyed Lord of the Ring: Return of the Kings. I recently watched the Chronicles of Riddick and found that I liked it far more than I expected. However, the movies that I liked the most, even though it was amazingly stupid, was Dodgeball. It was surprisingly funny to me. My wife is convinced, more now than ever before, that I am a complete loss. Nevertheless, Rip Torn cracked my up and Ben Stiller, who I don't normally like, was great.
I liked a lot of movies this year: The Bourne Supremacy, Ella Enchanted, Princess Diaries 2, Shrek 2, National Treasure, Finding Neverland, and 13 going on 30. Which would be the best? "shrugs" After seeing the Lord of the Rings for the past 3 years and enjoying them so much, it was hard not having another one this year to look forward to.
