Chat Room

The Chat Room is mainly for the use of Forum Members and on occassion the Architech will allow Guests to enter based on certain conditions:

1. The guest is merely testing the room
2. The guest is going to register and then return to the chat

Members are automatically registered for the forum,so if you are logged into the forum you will be able to enter the chat room without having to log in again.

Q. Can guests chat?
A. Read above. Conditions apply.

Q. Is the chat moderated?
A. Between the designated hours only.

Q. What are the rules on the use of the chat room?
A. The same that are current on the forum.

Room Chat

Q. Sometimes I go into the Chat Room but no one is there, why is that?
A. There are several reasons for this, but the number one reason is that members just do not enter at the right time! The chat room is open at 9pm EST and closes again at 11pm EST. During this period the chat is moderated. Although you can use it before and after this time there is no promise that someone will be there. The other reason for this is everyone operates on a different time zone thus making it hard to get everyone to meet at the same time. Feel free to PM someone and invite them to chat at a convenient time.

Q. Can I have more than one chat name?
No, your chat name goes in conjunction with your forum username.

Chat Room Update

The Chat Room now works on a timer that will only allow users in between the hours of 9pm to 11pm EST. This means that you will not be able to get in before or after this time. In addition to this, Moderators have the option to turn off the Chat Room if they cannot monitor it or see a lot of spammers / unwanteds entering.

Regular members will not be able to use the private message system within the chat room, this is reserved for Mods and Upgraded Members.

Chat Moderator

It is necessary to have a Chat Moderator present in every chat session. If you try to enter at 9pm EST and no Moderators have opened the Chat then please send them a message.

Room Chat

Turn It Off or On

Now all Members can decide whether they want to see 'Who is in the Chat Room' in real time or not. This can be chosen via 'My Controls' and then 'Edit Profile Info' - you will see an option to see the Chat Room or not all the way to the bottom. If you choose 'Yes', then the 'Who's in Chat Room' bar will appear to the top of every page. You can turn it on or off at will, but as a default it is set to 'No' so that no problems are encountered like last time.
