New Mission Rumor

Thought I would be the first to spread this rumor. I have a nephew in Bulgaria on a mission. Their mission also covers Turkey although no missionaries are there yet. A General Authority went with the mission president to Turkey and baptized, or will baptize some people soon. The feeling is, that Turkey will be open to missionary work within the year. Here is my nephews view on it:

Exciting side note: I don't know that this should really be a side note, because of how cool it is, but oh well. Part of what Elder Peterson told us was that he and President were able to go to Ismar, Turkey a few days ago. There they talked to men that have accepted the gospel and are getting baptized this month.(There's probably twenty to thirty members that live in all of Turkey.) He said that the feeling there was overwhelming. His opinion is that the Muslim people that live there have great enough faith in Jesus as a prophet that they could accept him as the Christ. He, along with the rest of the area presidency, have been talking a lot recently, and they think that Turkey should be opened for proscelyting by the end of this year. 'Hooraw for Israel!'

Rumor Mission New

Wow, I am very surprised if this mission really opens!. We know the Gospel is going to reach to every nation yet it would be a tremendous help if Turkey opens the door officially.

That would be a really awesome occurence, if it happens. Any time a new mission opens, it is an exciting event because it brings an opportunity to our brothers in sisters who don't currently have one.
