American Indian Gambling

This law allowed Indians to set up tax free casinos and sue States that tried to stop them. It caused widespread displeasure among non-Native America Indians, what is your view?

Gambling Indian American

I absolutely detest the Indian gambling movement. It overrides the will of the local populace of states, counties, even cities. The local people are almost never consulted, and frequently, when they are, their clear votes are nullified.

The concept of American Indian Gambling seems to be everything but American. Now I am not going to claim that I have never visited and indulged myself at a casino, because I have. But I still do not believe that the exclusion from laws that they enjoy is fair, and it in turns isolates them from the rest of us.

This is a huge scam. There are a lot of people searching for a little indian blood in their tree so they can claim heritage and start their casino. A nice loop-hole for a quick get rich scheme. Does this really make up for the wrongs done to the Indians? Dont think so.

I lived in a area in Virginia where they were looking to resurrect a Indian group that hasnt been around for over a hundred years....the best part is that this group is specifically working for a casino license.
