For those of us who believe in God, we know that He gave his only begotten son (Jesus Christ) to die for each one of us. A sinless man was giving as 'sacrifice' for humanity. For the good and for the evil people, for the weak and for the strong. So he knows how it 'feels' to sacrifice his own son.

None the less, whether God did it or not, I still don't feel that I could sacrifice my son. I am thankful that I haven't had to make that choice and hope that I never will.

Comments: This test was chosen because of the love Abraham had for his son. This test wouldn't apply to everyone, certainly not a lot of the parents of today who torture, r-pe, burn, kill and most common of all abort their own children.

Are we talking about on a good day or a bad day? Joking aside no way, there is no way I would ever be able to sacrifice my own son ever. I don't see the point in living in a world were I would have to sacrifice my own son for any reason.

That said I am not Abraham, he lived in a different time. I think for an accurate answer you would have to ask me back in that day in age. I am 99.9% sure my answer would be the same but like I said, that was a different world then and I am not Abraham.

After having 3 sons with special needs, I am confident that I won't be able to do it, maybe my faith isn't that strong or I love my kids so much. Whatever the reason, I don't think I could do it.
