Has anyone seen this movie starring Halle Berry? I just watched it on HBO and I thought it was very good. It was scary but not gory. I love scary movies but I hate all the gore of blood and body parts and stuff. It was good to see an old fashioned suspense filled drama. Some of the plot was a little thin at times and I did figure out who had done what before it was revealed, still I enjoyed watching it.
I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.
I thought Gothika was excellent! I watched it in stereo surround sound, so I jumped and every turn! This movie is Halle Berry at her best. This movie kept me guessing and making wrong assumptions at every turn. This movie stayed scary and stayed intense while refraining from the average gore that plagues movies today. I highly recommend this movie!

What about that time when she said :"I love you" with the axe in her hand. That was a romantic moment! Great movie, believable plot (in spite of the sf part) 4.5
I guess I am in the minority about this one. I read all the reviews here, and then last night, it was on one of the movie channels, so I decided I must stay up late and watch it. At 1:30 am when it was all over, I was scratching my head asking myself "What did I miss?" The plot was very, very thin, and played over and over and over. I guess I felt it was a bit too predictable. As for Halle Berry's performance, I still think her role in Monster's Ball was far better than in this movie. Overall, I give it 2
Saw this again today, and realized that watching it a second time is nothing like the first. It is not the type of movie that you watch again as it rests heavily on the thrill of not knowing what will happen next.
It did jar my thoughts about what we Discuss in the Heinous Crimes Board though. Sometimes it is the people who should be trusted that are the ones who are the most despicable.
