Q. I am not a member of the LDS Church / Mormon, can I still participate?
A. Yes, but you must understand that a lot of the game play will be based on your knowledge of the Book of Mormon and other Church Doctrines.

Q. I am a Latter-Day Saint, but I am not an expert in the Gospel, will I be able to play this game?
A. Yes! You may find yourself learning a lot about the Book of Mormon and Church Doctrine through game play.

Q. Isn't this kind of sacrilegious?
A. No, we do not make fun of the sacredness of the Book of Mormon or anything else related with the Church, in fact we just help you to learn more or better your knowledge via the method of playing a game. You will also find that playing Nephi RPG will help you to visualize what it might have been like to live in Book of Mormon times.

Q. How closely do you follow the storyline of the Book of Mormon?
A. Very close, the only difference is that we take Latter-Day revealed topics and also add it to the storyline. An example of this might be something from the Doctrine & Covenants, which of course did not exist at the time of Nephi.

Q. Where does the storyline actually start?
A. You as a person living in Jerusalem.

Q. So do I play the role of Nephi?
A. No, you do not play any major character in the Book of Mormon, however, there are times you may interact with them based on the Book of Mormon storyline.

Q. Can my character die in the game?
A. Yes.

Q. How can I play again after I have lost?
A. On the 'No Access' page (the one you see when you try to play Nephi RPG and it stops you) you will see some link options:

a. You can just replay - there is a link for it - click it.
b. Get more FP if you are lacking
c. If you do not wish to participate you can delete your character


Q. How do I know from which part of the Book of Mormon or LDS Doctrine a question is being asked?
A. You don't, unless you are specifically guided to look at a set of chapters / verses. We do try to follow the general storyline so if you are familiar with the Book of Mormon then you will have an idea of what we are talking about / questions being asked.

Q. Some of the questions seem very difficult, can't they be easier?
A. No, everyone gets the SAME questions. If you are stuck on a question then try looking it up in the scriptures.

Q. Can I ask other players for tips and help in solving the storyline?
A. No! They should not be giving you the answer either.

A. Male. This was made so because it is easier to work in the storyline.

Q. I understand that you have music and sound in this game but I do not hear anything. How come?
A. This could be for many reason. We will start with the most likely first and then the obvious later...
1. Check to make sure your browser can play MIDI and SWF files.
2. Ensure that you sound card is working properly and the volume is up
3. You will not be able to play a CD or other sound and have the sound from MIDI and SWF at the same time unless your system has separate configurations for each.
4. Check to see if your speakers are plugged in and on

Q. Why does my worthiness go down each time I check the Main Menu?
A. It is likely that you did not score 100% on your last test and so the only way to stop it from going down is to make sure you get 100%!

Q. I see a question that does not have the correct answer for me, what should I do?
A. Contact us by Email ONLY! Do not contact other members or post a message about it. We will then verify and get back to you. If it is our fault then it will be corrected and possible lost worthiness points will be restored.

Q. I made a choice based on what I thought would be right, but I ended up dead - what did I do wrong?
A. Nephi RPG is a game and you may make various choices that are not in keeping with the flow of the game. If you fail, then it is up to you to try again and learn from your mistakes and make a different choice. By making the correct choice you may eventually see why your other choice was wrong.

Q. I did not get what happened to my character - did I miss something?
A. Unlike other RPGs this one requires in depth reading. In other words if you read too quickly, or do not take the time to comprehend the hidden messages in the text then you will find yourself running in circles. Take your time, no one is rushing you.

Q. Okay, so I died, now what?
A. Well you can try your hand at another RPG if Nephi RPG is not for you or pay 50 FP and have the GM reset your character. If you wish for your character to be reset then Email him with the instructions to deduct the amount from your account and reset your character.

Q. My character was reset, do I have to start from the beginning again?
A. Yes, that is the unique thing about this game, you start from the beginning each time your character dies or you make a wrong critical choice.

Q. I am not a Mormon. I noticed that within the story line it says that a thread can be started at my request. Does this apply to me?
A. Not really. The idea behind the use of the thread was for LDS members (Mormons) to place what they learned from playing the game that gave them either a better appreciation of the Book of Mormon or a bigger perspective of it.

Q. I do think it gave me a better perspective of the Book, do I qualify for a thread?
A. Well, are you a Latter-Day Saint? If not, do you believe the Book of Mormon is a True Book? If 'yes' to anyone of these then you may have a thread to relate your feelings.

Q. Can all members play this game?
A. You must be at least a Plus Member.

Q. Where can I find answers to some of the questions like a Walk Through?
A. In the Secret How To Board check This Thread for direct answers and Walk Through.

Q. I do not want any more nag screens, how can I get rid of them?
A. Delete your character via the 'Delete' link in the Nephi Control Panel.
