Size Vs. Strength

Humans that crave a special look for their body may achieve a defined or even muscular shape, but not be as strong. How is a human to measure strength, is it based on size or only by lifting?

Strength Vs Size

I see this all the time and it amazes me. I am small compared to some other people I see come into the gym and yet I can lift more than them. I believe it may have to do with intensity. I see some people lift a bit of weight and grow big so they leave it at that. However, I am a hard gainer so I have to pressure my body before it does anything.
