Ain't nothing like the old school T.V. shows. You remember all the shows that came on back in the day that had you singing or whistling the words. Friends or family in the living room would be giving you the crazy or will you shut up look. ! Today's shows just don't do that for me. Here are some of my favorite shows with good theme music.
1.M.A.S.H
2.Hawaii Five O
3.S.W.A.T
4.Andy Griffin Show (Is that correct , I remember the whistling )
5.Sanford & Son
6.Goodtimes
7.Jefferson's
8.Brady Bunch
9.Giligan's Island
10.The Adam's Family
11.Beverly Hillbilly's
12.The Love Boat
13.Fame
14.Hillstreet Blues
15.Rockford Files
16.Fat Albert & the Cosby Kid's (cartoon)
I miss Sanford & Son and the Love Boat. Not in your list but equally as good... 'Fantasy Island', 'Six Million Dollar Man' and 'Three's A Company'. There are some catchy tunes in some of the shows now, but because they are all sex based in leaves much to be desired. There isn't any good clean humor anymore.
Hey do any of you guys remember Knight Rider? That was my show man!
It had a pretty good catchy tune. Kit was my boy.
Of course, every school age kid ran home to see it! The theme music from that has also been used in many other songs including rap. Something that also comes to mind: 'Man From Atlantis' and 'Starsky and Hutch'. We cannot of course forget my all time favorite: 'Wonder Woman'
Sorry Nighthawk, those were a little before my time Just like Mork and Mindy or Mr. Ed, never saw an episode of either one. Sorry.
Does anyone remember the show Baretta? (police show) I can't remember his first name but his last name was Blake. He was charged for murdering his wife years ago in California. Well anyways that show had a nice tune also. The lyrics went something like this. If you can't do the time , then don't do the crime. And then the chorus would come in and say "Don't Do It" The chorus reminded me of something from Shaft. When they said he's a bad Mutha and the chorus would say watch your mouth. You can order alot of classic movies and sitcoms from various web sites. Dukes of Hazard (is that spelled right) will soon be available on DVD. I even seen Smokey And The Bandit on this web site. I'm waiting on The Cosby Show , no release date has been set yet. Oh yeah , J.B. I ordered Sanford & Son last night on line.
