12 shot at New Orleans Mother's Day parade
A 10-year-old girl is among those injured in the shooting. Three or four people were in surgery but their conditions weren't known. No deaths were reported. Police report two to three gunmen fled the scene. Ref. USAToday

Really saddened to read this, just terrible when it should have been such a happy occasion... And with 2-3 gunmen, you can't even begin to fathom how (or why) something like this could even be hatched between so many people.
I hope they find the gunmen soon.

I know Aliza, it seems to have been a really bad start of the first half of 2013 for the US... I really wish and hope for a peaceful second half of 2013. It just shouldn't be like this, especially when people are choosing to wreak havoc!
