I still do not understand how a teacher could possible do something like that!...there was a similar case years ago, remember?. And look at her picture, she is such a pretty woman!. *shaking head*

McMINNVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- An elementary school teacher has been charged with having sex with one of her students, a 13-year-old boy, at his home and at school, authorities said Tuesday.

Pamela Turner, 27, was charged Monday with 15 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and 13 counts of statutory rape for acts between November and January.

Turner, who teaches physical education at Centertown Elementary, lived at the boy's house "for a brief period of time when she was moving from residence to residence," Warren County prosecutor Dale Potter said. The boy's parents did not know anything about the relationship, he said.

Potter said Turner was arrested Monday in Clarkrange, her hometown about 55 miles northeast of McMinnville in central Tennessee.

Conviction on all counts could be punished by up to 100 years in prison...

I guess what baffles we is the sexual desire for a thirteen year old. I cant look at a 13 year old girl and see anything but a child in both looks (usually) and actions. Especially emotionally, there is no way a thirteen year old comes close to being able to fulfill the emotional needs of a woman.

I am wondering if people like this have something wrong with them already. Or, are these just the woman versions of pedophiles? It is a decidedly different scenario, but the intent is the same, a relationship with a minor and or attraction to a child. Its all sick to me.

However, fourteen used to be old enough to marry off, so society has definentely changed our views on this matter.

All in all, I find it very sad that a woman would find the need for a child so young. What was she missing in her life that she needed to be consoled by someone so young. She appeared to be pretty, but obviously not very self confident. Its very sad.

The thing I find more disturbing than the actual story is that it didn't surprise me at all. We hear about this type of thing so often that very little is shocking these days.

I agree, I wasn't really suprised. I think it still astounds me to the point of confusion, but the shock value is gone. I don't know whats more sad, the actual event, or our callousness towards it now.

28 times in one week, folks! The other trend here is that the vast majority of these cases are female teachers exploiting male students. This particular teacher even confessed that one of the boy's classmates witnessed the two during intercourse, very similar to the Lafave case.
