[movie] The Trilogy Of Three Colors.

An amazing French trilogy by Krzysztof Kieslowski, who, himself, was born in Polish, managing to touch with these simple movies, the basic elements and moral values of life. The trilogy itself does not have a name. If you will search by "The trilogy of three colors", I don't suspect you will get any results. The movies are known individually, Red, Blue, and White, standing for the three colours of the French flag, and for the attached values of equality, liberty and fraternity.

If you have seen the movies, here are a few points to consider.

1. The old woman / man that tried to throw a bottle into a recycling can. what do you think its repetition symbolizes?
2. In Blue, do you think all of the famous poems were of the lady? If so, why did she prefer to keep them anonymous?
3. In white, most of the movie took place in Poland. Do you think that choice had to do with the color white?
4. In Red, what do you think about the matching between the retired judge and the new lawyer's life?

Actually you will. I was curious by your review and I made a search and I found several sites speaking of the "Trilogy of Three Colors". I learnt that themes of the films come from the three colors of the French flag as you mentioned and they also stated that it was one of the best films of the 90's.

Interesting, I didn't know it was called that way. I just made the name up for the title.
