DRUG-RESISTANT HIV STRAIN ALARMS OFFICIALS
Health officials in New York City are alarmed after a man infected with a
highly drug-resistant strain of HIV progressed to full-blown AIDS within
months of diagnosis.

This shouldn't be surprising considering the adaptability of the HIV virus to begin with. However, it is disturbing that a drug resistent strain has been found so early in the process. Its not like there has been a drug that cures HIV or AIDS yet the virus is already adapting and changing as to find a way around the drugs we have that slow it down. This could prove to be a very bad turn in the fight against the virus in the very near future.
In an interesting twist to this, they are finding that one of the way to combat it might be 'all natural', but not from humans:
