We´ve just celebrated our 3rd. Anniversary and all is well - so far!

But I´m curious, rpgpundit, if you´re from India you must know of many marriages where the husband is much, much, much more than 22 years older than the wife. No?

I was born in India but I'm an American at heart so I do not buy some of the traditional values there and I won't be getting involved with anyone far from my age either. If it works for you then power to you man but I don't think that's for me.

It´s true that 22 years is quite an age gap. However, the older you get the less important "the gap" seems to be.

If you are (for example) 20 and she´s 5 .... Well! If you´re 30 and she´s 15 ... Eeech! But if you´re 45 and she´s 30 it doesn´t seem to be all too much. And so on, and so on. I can tell you that I´m much older than 45.

I don't see that as too big an age difference but a guy at that age has been around the block typically. I think its tough to just say this age is wrong or right. It really depends on the both of you and if you're similar. Like someone could be older but you know, like young in their heat or mind and feel younger. Most important is he treats you right.

I've felt this way about him for a very, very long time. I know it seems doubtful that someone as young as I am could be in love, but I am. Anyway, we aren't together, he doesn't know how I feel. This has helped and pretty much confirmed what I've always thought. Its a maturity thing, and it can vary based on the specific people. Comments: Well my difference is quite extreme I guess but I am 62 and have a beautiful girlfriend who is 25. I guess in most instances that is too much of a difference but I think we both feel that age is just a number. I am not rich or even that financially secure so there is something other than money or security!

Comments: It is very difficult to have a relationship with such an age difference. The world is in such a craze the only time we have is to make first opinions and thick. So usually when you hear about old men dating young women or vice versa the first thing you do is judge. Now I'm sure lots of relationships with crazy age differences don't work out but we all need to be a little more open with love. When it comes to love, finding the person that makes you incredibly happy or whatever love is to you... Age is a number. Age is a state of there life, a maturity level that some people do well with others. Everyone is at a physical and mental age level. And its hard to accept such drastic ages but it happens.... Of course I'm saying this because I am 15 and dating a 21 year old... I waited to say that because I know you would all think "this is some little girl blah bah" but I can honestly say I have never been in love like this.. Its hard to believe that a 15 year old knows what love is and your probably saying to yourself "its just hormones"... Everyone believes in different things but I know for a fact that I am an old soul and so is he. Its funny though because before I met him I would think of girls meeting old guys and it made me sick but now that I am with my partner I always forget about his age because we work so well together. Anyways you can judge for yourselves but I thought I should add my little perspective to this... hope I was some help
