1st World Nation By 2020?

I could make numerous points about the crappy water, electricity, telephone service blah blah blah, and don't get me started about transportation (for example, 80%, yes 80% of the cars that are driven on the roads of Trinidad and Tobago would not pass an inspection in the US or the UK. And in Germany, make that 90%)

Also, how does it look when yuo have a American or Eurotard businessman walking along the "sidewalk" of yuor average TT road, and he has to step over the numerous open sewage drains?

But the biggest problem Trinidad faces in years to come, is Human Resources

Can't build a first world nation if all yuor brightest people are emmigrating to the US/UK/Eurotard/Canada. A case in point, Mrs Key Boi

Yes, it's called a BRAIN DRAIN

In TNT, the Skilled People are leaving, and being replaced by Unskilled immigrants from Venezuela, Small Islands, Blah

Carkeyboi, wow, you're really harsh....but I understand your views because I experience it every day in my life. Are you in Trinidad right now?.
This vision 20/20 makes me laugh too or cry I should say. So many basic necessities of life are not being met as yet.

Yeah, it's harsh, I've never been one to tippy-toe around the facts. And yes, we're in Trinidad, and every time we come back, things have gone from bad to worse

now I see the education system is going down the crapper. I'm hearing stuff about teachers being abused and threatened by students, students bringing knives to skool and stabbing each other and so on and so forth

add to that the kidnappings for ransom, the muggings, the shootings and murders on an almost daily basis. Even in the States, places like Detroit, Oakland CA, Newark NJ, Washington DC, they have a lower homicide rate. I am deadly serious about that. If TNT was a US city, it would top the US crime rate league table (per capita)

if the Trini govt. don't do something radical and lay the smack down on this CRIME problem, the BRAIN DRAIN will continue unabated and if the govt. don't lay the SMACK DOWN on the student thugs in the schools, the education system will go to hell even more, and TNT won't be producing the SMART PEOPLE in the first place, how's that for your 20/20 vision?

think about it. See that school kid sneaking a knife into school to stab a fellow student? what kind of citizen do yuo think he's gonna be in 2020? someone who's helped build TNT into a first world nation?

and it is sad, very sad, because TNT is, or rather was, a beautiful nation full of beautiful people, but slowly but surely, it's turning into a hellhole, just like most of the USA

To tell the proof, I don't really mind the phone service being unreliable, or the sidewalks being so hazardous what with open drain holes and maxi taxis driving at breakneck speed, wandering all over the place. LAW AND ORDER and EDUCATION are the building blocks for any successful nation. Without that, you ain't got jack pooh

I'm a high school teacher and you will not believe the things I see at work. It is very sad but again is not the children's fault, sometimes you call the parents at home and they don't even bother to come to school to talk with you. It is insane. I work in a private school and I see a lot of violent tendencies from the students, can you imagine in a public school!?

2020 is the year, 1000 B.C. is the cultural mindset
