Title: ABU BAKR
Comments: [In my opinion...] The greatest mistake made by politicians in this country was to let Abu Bakr off the hook for committing treason. This man and his bunch of fanatics are going to be a perpetual threat to all future governments this island. We have too many crooks, and killers on this island who are willing to join his mob.
Imam Yasin Abu Bakr was arrested today by police. He is being detained overnight in relation to the Dana Seetahal murder case. Apparently Abu Bakr was named by anothr suspect for involvement. According to TV6 News Abu Bakr was not the only one but others have also been arrested.

Title: Abu bakr arrest
Comments: This seems rather strange. Why have the police waited so long to arrest and question Abu Bakr when the basic evidence used now to arrest him was at hand from the time of Dana Seethal murder.
George, it may not be that Abu Bakr was the prime suspect but there is allegedly involvement indirectly - proving that will be a chore. Nevertheless, Abu Bakr was released today, and even thanked the police for the professional way in which he was treated.

Comments: Look man [in my opinion], these guys have outside contact with the elements of the Muslim radicals who are at present causing havoc all over the world. They are on their side. It is now too late to try to get these local Muslims to conform to any police request or government here. They need their guns to maintain the upper hand where lawlessness is concerned on this island. A mistake was made in 1990 by the government when they allowed Abu Bakr to walk free, something we may all have to pay for in the long run. We need to apply draconian measure to sort this local problem and stop it from escalating. Almost al of our so called Muslims have been recruited and locally radicalise right here. Most were already associated to the Catholic faith on this island. They have just joined the bandwagon to get local attention and what they consider as personal respect. These local fanatics are just waiting for an opportunity to try again to take control of this nation. Mark my word.
Yasin Abu Bakr has proven that he is one of the country's untouchables. When he passes away he may be even seen as the Che or Castro of Trinidad and Tobago. That's how history treats every activist that promotes civil unrest.
