[medieval] The Rescue - Page 6

The Game Master says...

Ice speaks up,

"We are all fierce warriors, but these bandits seem to be almost superhuman. They attack us from a position of fortification. We have suffered many losses. Our last trip was just as deadly as the first. We have had one kidnapped, two killed, two gravely wounded and several with lesser wounds. Unfortunately, your horse was stolen when our comrade was kidnapped."

Knight watches you with one brow raised and says simply,

"All that thou hast spoken is a matter of normal warfare. I never claimed this task to be one of foul's play nor a walk down to the meadow."

Knight then raises his right hand to his chin and begins to rub it slowly while looking at the ceiling above. He then continues...

'Ye look as one that is equipped, thou seemest fierce to observe so it must be thy technique. Something is wrong with thy approach.'

He then bids you to follow him over to one wall where hangs a majestic painting of a castle. He then asks,

"Do ye know what painting this be?"

You claim no knowledge of it and so Knight explains it is the Castle of Greystalk. You take a moment to look it over - it is huge and all encompassing of the territory around it as the artist seems to want to capture that very thought in the viewer's mind. Knight then points to the main structure of the Castle within the painting and says,

"If thou be an enemy to Greystalk and thy mission were to take over this Castle would thou use the simplest of means by walking down the road (he points to a road on the painting that leads to the Castle) heavily armed and expect to not meet opposition or that the watchmen and soldiers just sleep as ye pass through to do your bidding?"

He then walks over to the center of the room and says...

"When thou goest to Death's Mouth, and that be if ye are still willing as I will no longer be under any obligation with thee, then remember this painting and know that the Mountains of the South be the Castle of Greystalk to them."

He then turns away to head back to his table, he tells the guards to show you out while saying,

"Be sure that my horse be presented to the stable before thy departure."

GM: Say what you will do now. You will also need to be specific with the length of time you intend to be at the doctor's so that the necessary GPs can be accounted for and HP restored.

Rescue medieval

The Game Master says...

You are escorted outside into the main yard. To one section is the stables and you are asked by one of the guards to hand over your horse there before you leave as Knight requested. The guards await for you to hand over 'a' horse not knowing which you will choose give.

GM: Say what you will do now in addition to what was requested above in the last thread.

The Game Master says...

ice pronounces a plan of action that confuses the guard, he then walks over to some soldiers near stable and he points at you, shrugs his shoulders and wonders as what seems to be his superior comes over and says,

"One of three may pass by, buy the horse that is needed and then return within one movement of the sun (an hour)".

GM: Select who will go and who will stay keeping in mind you have one hour. You still need to answer the requested info asked above.

The Game Master says...

Ice takes sufficient gold and ventures to buy a riding horse which she does and being not very wise she comes back just in the nick of time and not a moment sooner with not much care in the world. She hands the horse over to the guard and the gates are open for you to pass.

Back in the Village you find yourselves anxious in thought as to what to do.

GM: Use the next 24 hours to finalize exactly what you will do so that the next party order is a sum of all new characters created, wounded characters healed (consider time it takes), buying equipment (if necessary), deciding who is really active and wants to play and who is not and gathering information. In this way the party order after this one should be to venture (wherever that may be) I have also found that chat sessions are very helpful in getting info across, all of you may wish to exchange IM and that way you can correspond conveniently. Lastly, I am not concerned about the number that wishes to journey so please do not make that a factor.

Rescue medieval

The Game Master says...

At the doctor's home you seem to become involved in a dispute with the doctor about his fees and only after he has already brought Sabina to a stable semi-conscious state. He frowns his brow awaiting to see what your intentions are with his dues. He adds to the sentiment,

"Ye think to go and make war and be made alive for free? It is not my fault that such as ye have a reputation for running scared, but my 'small' fee is what has brought thy friend to life."

GM: Say what you will do now.

[medieval] The Rescue

The Game Master says...

"Well, spit it out, I have not all day to stand here awaiting what is already due to me. Ye sort do seem to find it a hard thing to pay and I can well say that thy reputation is being accumulated and not for good!"

Says the doctor while tapping the front tip of his well made shoe against the wooden floor below him. He has his hands folded and wears a perturbed expression on his face. You can tell that anymore hesitation could mean dire consequences for you although not readily shown at this time.

GM: Those players that are actually posting within the camp need to choose a leader and post party order today so this game can continue...

The Game Master says...

You pay the doctor with gold which Sabina had all along. The doctor watches you with suspicious eyes and bids you a good afternoon after collecting his hard earned wages...

Later that day...

During the day Ramer and Sidraul notice a gold piece missing from their collection. They try to recollect how that is possible.

time passes by...

The town folk seem to know a lot about your group and your travels to Death's Mouth, they have made little fancy sayings about it much to your dismay.

After the space of six weeks, plenty of rest and normal cooked food you feel that you are ready to conquer the world once again or at least Death's Mouth. You are determined to reclaim the honor you once had.

GM: Say what you will do now including:

1. GP balance for Ramer
2. GP balance for Joe after paying doctor
3. Who is second leader, etc.

After the above info the party stats will be updated.

[medieval] Rescue World Medieval PBP RPG - Page 6

The Game Master says...

After six weeks have passed and you once again assemble yourselves outside the market (your usual spot) discussing the prospects of an adventure together that does not bring sudden death.

You look out for Florena hoping to 'ask' somethings of her, but find yourself waiting in vain, however...

A man of curious nature with cloak and dark appearance slowly but confidently approaches your gathering. He says in a soft but sure voice,

"My fellow seekers of honor, or I assume that ye wish to have this bestowed upon thee and thy friends in arms? I have looked upon thee and I know that it must seem to be a heavy task to venture so hard and for so long and yet accomplish so little."

He turns slightly and points to the South with his hand and then continues...

'I have been there, I know what it is like, I know what is there and I can help thee"

He then places both his hands to his chest and the out to his sides in a form to show assurance of his being genuine...

"I can help thee, my fellow friends, I can be a guide, wishest thee my services?"

You then look at this fellow closer... he seems genuine in his speech and demeanor and you wonder if his offer may just be what you have been looking for...

[b]GM: Say what you will do now. Party Stats have been updated.
