Joe replies,
"Why, yes, thank you. We would appreciate any help you can offer."
To which the stranger straightens, opens his eyes slightly with a speckle of excitement and then puts his elbow in the side of his waist and extends his hand with palm facing you,
"That be good indeed, I can help thee, I just need about 4 gold pieces to get meslf some rations and I be back quicker than mice to cheese."
He waits for his gold.
GM: Say what you will do now. You may also wish to read the post about multi-tasking so that I know more of what you wish to do for the future rather than about one event.
Sabina turns to the newcomer and says,
"I'll come along with yer and escort ... er.. accompany you back to camp when we've finished."
Smiling congenially at the newcomer, Sabina then turns and gives Joe a meaningful look to convey her message. To which the stranger replies,
"It be a fine thing to have such a lady in arms as yerself be my chaperone, but really it is not necessary for a man as grown as I to be trusted with a mere 4 pieces of gold?"
He then stands in a prideful fashion with nose almost turned up at Sabina's desire to accompany him.
Ramer says,
"I have a coin I can donate to his cause, be sure I get it back when we return". Ramer tosses the newcomer a coin and puts on his back pack with all of his gear inside, his sword at his side and bow on his back.
The stranger nods.
Mud grunts,
"You better be of good help to us..." with that he reluctantly tosses another coin to the man. "Buy yourself some food."
"Me will of course me will", replies the stranger.
Joe graciously hands two more coins to the mysterious stranger.
"Welcome to our little group. I am Joe. Would you mind telling us yer name, sir?"
He then looks at them as though to inspect wether they be genuine.
"Jershom, er.. Jershom be the name"
He then looks over at Sabina and says,
"Now, I be back faster than a wind blowing in from a storm, you all wait here and I will be right back".
GM: Say what you wish to do now. Where did SidRaul get the gold to buy that stuff? Perhaps he does not know how it is done? I have no log of him exchanging FP for GP, it therefore cannot be added to his equipment.
"Well then, I be off to get meh rations"
Exclaims your 'new' friend.
You await his return while estimating 15-20 minutes, but an hour passes by. After two hours you wonder about the character of the strander as there is no sign of him returning and you begin to wonder what became of this thief!
GM: Say what you will do now.
Time passes by and one village child comes up to you and while pulling at you apparel says,
"Excuse meh, buh me friends and I, we be thinking..., I was wondering if thee and thy friends are lost or afraid to go back to Death's Mouth?"
He then chuckles and runs over to the other side of the Market where you see a group of boys pointing and laughing. You then see passers by of the Village turning to your position to see what is causing this immense humor among the children.
You can tell your reputation is not getting any better and it will take both a wish and a prayer before anyone helps you before laughing your reputation to scorn.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Against your intuition to go and eat a rich man's meal in the Tavern and being already in vicinity Joe and Sabina go to the market to look for Jershom and cannot find him. Their low soul is only now telling them - he was a thief.
GM: Say what you will do now. Time: 12 noon
Being disgraced by little taunting children is not your favorite mission in life and you set a very strong determination with your large breasts to conquer the next formidable challenge put before you by the overseeing gods. However, as an after thought you wonder if to die by the sword is better than to loose honor so badly. It reminds you of a story a merchant with small eyes once told you in the market, about a people on an island that live by honor so well that they rather die than bring dishonor to their name. You are not sure if that is the way you will think now, but your health is strong and your determination sure.
You saddle up on trusted horses in such a manner as to make greater haste in reaching the South East near the opening to Hordeland. Having not known anything about Hordeland nor stopping to find out you once again set off ignorantly of all that is before you, but somehow you feel well with your decisions just as the day is beautiful and the birds are flying high in the blue sky.
You slowly travel all day atop your sturdy mounts while stopping by the way helps you and your horses find rest. By the end of the day you are about a few hours away from trotting towards the opening within the Mountains to the South East. Your surroundings reveal a more forested area and you find that there is a dark gloom that falls over everything, but you are not sure why - perhaps it is your eyes, perhaps the going down of the sun, but without any wisdom of what proceeds you now you find yourself weary of this grey location. Nevertheless there are one or two clearings within nearby pine trees and then there are open grass plains more to the West.
GM: Say what you will do now. The equipment matter with RaulDrake is squared and he has his equipment, BUT the party stats is not updated so it will not show now. I suggest everyone subscribe to this thread so you are notified the moment I post to the storyline.
Darkness falls upon you as your indecision makes the moment weary and the feeling of fear grips your heart as you hear the gruesome howls of the night. You do notice something interesting though... something you have not quite seen before... small lights or flames or torches coming from within the forest. You are not sure what it is or why it is there, but making you feel comfortable is certainly not it's mission as it almost seems to peer at you through the woods. Closer examination reveals that these specks of light move, but ever so slowly and somehow disappear and reappear. There are about four in total - sometimes five.
GM: Say what you will do now.
You can almost hear the sounds of snarls right under your chin, but they seem to be coming from the nearby woods with a howl in between every so often. You have never felt so alone before and you begin to wonder if your lack of movement has anything to do with your Village reputation.
GM: Say what you will do now. Party stats have been updated with a new stat that will be mentioned later in Medieval updates called, 'Reputation'.
