OOC: If I remember correctly, the other times that Kron has stepped up to speak, bad things have happened. I would vote for Malice to step forward. He is a warrior, male, has as much soul as Kron does, and isn't currently labeled as unwise. I agree that we need a male warrior to step forward, defend the female warriors, and make these idiots realize that we mean business. I am just not sure Kron is that person.
IC: Kron remembers his past experiences when trying to negotiate with others and thinks long and hard about stepping up to defend Ice and Sabina. He nudges Malice and nods ahead suggesting that he defend their honor instead.
Since we have decided not to use bribe, we should either show our strong side and intimidate them, in which case Malice would be helpful in persuasion, or befriend them, a chance which we have almost lost already. I agree, then, that Malice should step up and speak.
First, let's remember that you are all a mile away. So, you can't just step up to speak. Ice and Sabina need to at least begin speaking and then you would have to coincidently arrive. You have no way to know this conversation is taking place. Perhaps Ice and Sabina should proceed as outlined while we say the next two to take the lead start out to replace them. The question is who that will be. Originally it was going to be Kron and Daphne. Daphe could do the speaking and Kron could just be the "muscle," or we could choose to send two others to take over the scouting position. This really is the only way to explain them arriving all of a sudden.
However, keep in mind the original plan is for the two scouts to return to the group and then be replaced. If two leave the group to come up and be the replacements, the larger group is left without them for protection and they are on foot so can't as easily flee. So, maybe we either let Sabina and Ice attempt to handle it on their own, or just forget about getting information from these hunters and just continue onward.

OOC: I'm in agreement to show a bit of warrior pride and scare the living daylights out of these goons, even if we don't get any information out of them, they need to be taught a lesson.... However, on the cautious side, we probably shouldn't get too close
~~~
IC: Sabina draws her sword again with a decisive "ssssing!" and flanks Ice but not too closely, her sword held in fighting-ready position. "Aye... 'maiden'...! Let's kill the loudmouthed one first, and see if his puling friends have any guts left afterward."
IC: "Well Sabina that would be fun now wouldn't it and it would teach them a lesson, but we really shouldn't now should we?" "I am sure they mean us know disrespect now, do you boys?"
[Remi walks and doesn't try to make further conversation] (not a very talkative bunch are they?)
OOC- I personally think that Ice and Sabina can handle this. These women are strong and don't need us "men folk" to lend them respect. This is my idea-
You are outnumbered so you need to pose a challenge that is more fair; challenging their leader (I'm assuming the man who has done most of the speaking is the leader) and insulting the men is likely to get you mobbed and the conflict will be well over before we can arrive. So why doesn't Ice challenge him to a one on one duel -not to the death if you can help it. If he wins you pay him 5 gold for teaching you a valuable lesson, but if you win they volunteer their information. I have little doubt that Ice will reign supreme in such a contest.
I don't think I want to challenge anyone to a duel. Unless it is to the death, I don't see Ice winning. She is a woman. Any challenge based upon physical strength, I would expect a man to win. However, I think she can talk tough. Perhaps it isn't a good idea to pull her bow and arrow and threaten the men. Maybe just accuse them of being little men not worth the effort and move on. Since we are only one mile out of the village anyway. If they had important information to give us, I think they would have. It is unlikely they have encountered bandits because if they did, there would have been some battle and then they would likely be looking for us to help them exact revenge not laughing at us.
IC: Ice turns to Sabina and say: "We are wasting our time with these. Look how they are intimidated by the presence of women warriors. They are truly little men. They wouldn't recognize a bandit, if one walked right up to them and said, Good day, my name is Tom the Bandit. Let's be on our way." Ice turns to ride off in the direction they were originally heading.
If any of them speak, she will stop to listen. Otherwise, I think Sabina and Ice should head back to the main group, report to them about these hunters and see if they have found anything of interest while on foot.
Meanwhile the group in the rear continues to look for any signs of illegal activity or clues to bandits.
